International School of Economics and Management Foreign University Application Guidance Meeting
To further enrich students' international perspectives, expand their paths for advanced learning, promote knowledge about studying abroad, and enhance the quality of further education, the Office of International Exchange at the International School of Economics and Management held an online Guidance Meeting on December 8, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The guidance meeting was hosted by Vice Dean Jing GAO, and teachers from the International School of Economics and Management, including Zhao WANG, as well as Shu YANG and Xin HUANG from Palmdrive, provided guidance and suggestions on studying abroad for the students. A total of more than 80 undergraduate and graduate students from the school participated in the event.
First, Vice Dean Jing GAO provided an introduction to the internationalization of the school and the status of international exchanges, and presented the school's international cooperation projects.
Next, Tong LI introduced the recent destinations of graduates from the school for their overseas studies and the trends in studying abroad in the post-pandemic era.
Later, Zhao WANG provided a detailed introduction to the "2.5+1.5" dual-degree program at the University of Rhode Island in the United States for the students. This included information on the university's geographical location, course options, campus life, and various aspects. The presentation also analyzed the educational resources, advantages of studying abroad, and the current COVID-19 prevention and control situation at the University of Rhode Island and its Business School.
Finally, Shu YANG and Xin HUANG from Palmdrive gave an overview of master's programs in business schools, application requirements, and the application process. They also shared the latest study abroad information, including details about school rankings, admission conditions, tuition fees, and document preparation. After the meeting, students had further discussions with the teachers.
The college has consistently been actively dedicated to expanding channels for international education cooperation and exchange. It has positioned this as a crucial component of the college's international talent development strategy. By organizing study abroad guidance meetings, the college aims to broaden students' international perspectives and provide them with additional information and guidance for academic planning and foreign study applications.
